Description
LinkedIn is the premiere social network for professionals to interact and share opportunities. It offers the features of most social networks, but focuses on business by allowing users to upload resumes, offers recommendations for one another, and request introductions to people outside of their immediate network.
With Box Files for LinkedIn, you can have full access to your Box account within the LinkedIn interface. Not only can you view and edit your files as you would on Box, but you can also view shared files of your LinkedIn contacts, collaborate with them on files, and display content on your profile.
To use Box Files within LinkedIn, first visit our application page on LinkedIn - http://www.linkedin.com/opensocialInstallation/preview?_ch_panel_id=1&_applicationId=1300. You will be taken to LinkedIn, where you can login and click “Add application.” You will then be directed to the Box Files application, where you can connect your Box account, view your Box content, and specify a profile folder for public display. You can also share files and collaborate with LinkedIn contacts from this application.
Additionally, you can share files with your LinkedIn contacts directly from your Box account. To do so, just "Add Application" on this page. Then select a file from "All files", right-click on the file and choose “Share with LinkedIn contacts.” Sign in to LinkedIn, then select the contacts with whom you would like to share your file and click send.
